ABOUT THE ARTISTS
MARIIA SOLODIANKINA
Mariia Solodiankina is a Finland-based filmmaker and visual artist exploring ecofeminism and sustainability through short fictional and documentary films.
Her work dives into permaculture, somatic body practices, community-driven soil projects and socio-environmental issues. Mariia explores edible and medicinal plants in the northern hemisphere, integrating these elements into her narratives. She employs photography and soundscapes to enrich the atmosphere of her pieces, creating immersive experiences.
Her projects aim to highlight the intricate connections between humans and the environment, advocating for sustainable practices and the empowerment of people within these narratives.
SERAINA GRUPP
Seraina Grupp (1998*, CH) is a trans-disciplinary artist with a social practice in art and food, pinpointing matters of current struggles and crisis through the lens of food and the understanding of food as a world de-constructing material.
Her projects aim to queer our thinking and reimagine our relationships, valuing details and small narratives within complex realities. She practices togetherness and caregiving methods, working mostly in collaborations.
In her current project, TRANSFER, she proposes a co-habitat in a decaying food garden to foster co-living in the urban landscape, aiming to break the silence and evoke action in the collapsing Danish food system.
